As I look at the picture in this news article, the continued impotence of the africa union arouses much anger.
If foreign (chinese) investment means helicopter gunships (to enforce cheap access and minimise internal consumption) and roads (to enable efficient export of natural resources), then thank you, but no. When are we going to stop begging for external "help"?! Those that welcome cheap imports, lack of internal innovation should be ashamed. As stated elsewhere it's up to those returning from overseas to demonstrate support for african goods, instead of flashing the latest mobile phone, or video player.
I know some people resent our fellow africans being refugees in ghana, but I for one am proud of every liberian, sierra leoneon, or sudanese who escapes hell to find refuge and security in ghana.
