I found this link about African proverbs recently and I wanted to share it.
I think the richness of our proverbs and wise sayings don't get as much love and it's about time it did.

Enjoy! African proverbs website

So I started collecting

So I started collecting proverbs and decided to share the love(www.proverbs.fienipa.com). Time only allows me to post one a week even though I've collected over a thousand in Akan and Gbe. Enjoy.

OMANBA

AFRICAN HEIROGLYPHICS

So it wasn't just the Egyptians who got in on the act. We did it too... not on rocks nor papyrus but adorned ourselves in emblems of wisdom. http://www.welltempered.net/adinkra/htmls/adinkra/gyen.htm

If like me your SANKOFA only stretches as far as your GYE NYAME then the symbols will fascinate you. I am still trying to get my head round the more complicated designs and how they correspond to their meanings. For instance GYE NYAME.

THE CRINGE FACTOR! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT GOD MADE THREE WORLDS AND THAT I COME FROM THE THIRD WORLD. THE ISSUE OF RACE IS GEOGRAPHICAL AND NOT A STATUS SYMBOL AND NEITHER IS MY SKIN BLACK NOR YOURS WHITE.

lol @ Omanba.
Around here, we really love the Adinkra symbols.
A lot of related logos are Adinkra symbols, africathink, kasahorow, museke, etc.

That website you posted has some great information.
I think Adinkra symbols deserve more publicity and marketing in our society and not relegated to being designs on clothing, etc.

Paa Kwesi, what happened to the proverbs thing?
