I thought I would post a new topic to gather members' opinions of the new web site.
Personally, I liked the old theme (gold and white was easy on my eyes), but I like the new logos in the top header section.
I hope they were Ghanaian designed ;)
Could the web site owners describe a brief background about the change, please?

Yep, this new one is pretty! These pastel colours are also easy on the eyes after a while. I think right now the "shine-shine" is due to the fact that it's fresh!

I recently realised that the top left logo looks suspiciously similr to the standard rss icon ;)
So designer, am I right that rss was the inspiration??

The simple answer to your question about RSS is: Yes - the design was inspired by the mozilla/firefox RSS icon.
You can try to guess exactly what is being implied here.
Actually - how about a friendly competition - who can describe the meaning of the new GhanaConscious icon ?
I will try to think of an appropriate prize. Obviously - some people are disqualified. You know yourself :)

hehehehe, the "shine shine" eh? Im about to start using that for everything.
Hmm, I dont know if I like the new look. Then again, it may be because I had gotten too used to the old one. I do like the new arrangement though, much user friendlier, things are easier to find. I agree with r, the previous colors were much easier on the eyes, but I'll take pk's word for it that this will get berra with time.
